Fusenite is a telehealth service. There are some things it cannot replace. Please read this carefully.
1. Not an emergency service
If this is a medical emergency, call 000 immediately. Fusenite is not designed to handle emergencies. For mental-health support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 — available 24/7.
2. Eligibility ≠ treatment
Completing the Fusenite quiz and being told you may be suitable for a programme does not guarantee that an AHPRA-registered doctor will approve treatment. Treatment is always at the discretion of the clinician during your real-time consultation.
3. Individual results vary
Outcomes from any treatment depend on individual biology, adherence, lifestyle, and other clinical factors. Information published on this site (including testimonials) is illustrative — it does not guarantee a particular outcome.
4. General information, not personalised advice
Resources, FAQ answers, and any other content on this website are general health information. They are not a substitute for advice from a registered medical practitioner who knows your individual situation.
5. The role of your regular GP
Fusenite does not replace your relationship with your regular GP. We strongly encourage you to maintain that relationship. With your consent we will write to your regular GP about your Fusenite plan so they have the full picture and can support you alongside us.
6. When telehealth isn’t appropriate
Conditions that require physical examination should be assessed in person:
- Undiagnosed lumps, masses, or skin lesions
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding requiring pelvic examination
- Acute or worsening pain that hasn’t been investigated
- Suspected fractures or significant trauma
- Acute infections requiring physical assessment
Your Fusenite doctor will tell you if telehealth isn’t the right channel for your concern and will recommend you see your regular GP or attend an urgent care clinic.
7. Side effects and adverse events
All medical treatments come with risks. Your AHPRA-registered doctor will explain the risks and benefits of any treatment before it is prescribed. If you experience a side effect or adverse event, contact your Fusenite care team immediately — and call 000 if it is severe.
8. Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Several Fusenite treatments are not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding. You must inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy.
9. Limitation of advice channels
The Fusenite messaging service is for non-urgent care. Do not use it for emergencies. Replies during business hours are typically within a few hours; outside business hours, the next business day.
