General
What is Fusenite?
Fusenite is a doctor-founded, Australian-owned telehealth platform. We connect patients with AHPRA-registered Australian doctors for hair, weight, and hormone health, and deliver any prescribed treatment to your door in plain packaging.
Where are Fusenite doctors based?
All Fusenite doctors are AHPRA-registered and based in Australia. We don't use offshore clinicians.
How long does the eligibility process take?
The quiz takes about 2 minutes. A doctor reviews your responses within 24 hours and books a real-time consultation. From quiz to first delivery is typically 7–10 days.
What if I'm not eligible?
If your doctor decides treatment isn't appropriate for you, you don't pay for the consultation. Your doctor will explain why and may suggest a more suitable path.
Is this Medicare-rebated?
No — Fusenite consultations are private. Pathology your doctor orders may be Medicare-rebated separately at your local collection centre.
Why don't you discuss treatments by name?
Due to Australian Therapeutic Goods regulations, we are unable to discuss specific treatment options until you have a consultation with one of our Fusenite practitioners. This is to ensure a qualified medical professional discusses all the options available to you before you make any decisions regarding medical treatments.
Can I keep my regular GP?
Yes — and we encourage it. With your consent, we'll write to your regular GP about your Fusenite plan so they have the full picture.
Hair Health
How long until I see results?
Most patients notice reduced shedding within 2–3 months and visible regrowth in 4–6 months. Your doctor will set realistic expectations specific to you.
Will I need to take this forever?
Pattern thinning is genetic and chronic. Stopping treatment generally means losing the gains over 6–12 months. Long-term plans are reviewed regularly.
Can women use the same treatment as men?
Treatment selection differs by sex assigned at birth and clinical context. Your doctor will discuss what's appropriate for you.
Are there side effects?
All treatments come with risk; those experienced on Fusenite hair plans are typically temporary and manageable. Your doctor will explain everything during your consultation.
Weight Management
Will I need a blood test?
When beginning treatment your doctor may ask you to complete a blood test at a local pathology clinic. Most pathology is Medicare-rebated.
What happens when I stop treatment?
Modern medical treatments are most effective long-term for sustained weight management. Your doctor will discuss the right duration and any breaks with you.
Are there side effects?
All treatments come with risk; those experienced on Fusenite weight plans are usually temporary and can be managed. Free consultations with the nursing team are available daily.
Is this PBS-subsidised?
For most patients, no — Fusenite operates as a private subscription service. PBS subsidy for some weight-management treatments is currently limited to specific clinical criteria.
Hormone Health
I've heard hormone therapy causes breast cancer. Is that true?
The evidence is more nuanced than the headlines. Modern hormone therapy is supported by major Australian and international guidelines as the most effective treatment for vasomotor symptoms in appropriately selected patients. Your doctor will discuss your individual risk profile in detail.
How long can I stay on hormone therapy?
There's no fixed cut-off. Duration is decided between you and your doctor based on your symptoms, your goals, and your risk profile.
Can I get hormone therapy if I'm still having periods?
Yes — perimenopausal hormone therapy is well-established. The regimen differs from post-menopausal therapy and your doctor will tailor the approach.
Will I need blood tests?
Not always. Hormone therapy is typically guided by your symptoms, not your blood levels. Your doctor may order baseline pathology in some cases.
Pricing
Are there lock-in contracts?
No. You can cancel anytime from your Fusenite dashboard or by emailing care@fusenite.com.
What's the money-back guarantee?
Hair plans carry a 180-day money-back guarantee. Weight and Hormone plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. Full terms apply — see the refund policy.
Why is Weight more expensive than Hormone?
Weight programmes include cold-chain delivery, more frequent doctor reviews, and dietitian support on the higher tiers — these elements add operational cost.
Can I change plans later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade between tiers anytime from the Fusenite dashboard.
Will my private health cover this?
Programme fees generally aren't covered. Some private health extras may cover medication invoices — check with your insurer.
Privacy & Data
Where is my data stored?
All Fusenite data is stored in Australia (Sydney region). Your health information never leaves the country.
Who can see my information?
Your AHPRA-registered doctor and the Fusenite team members directly involved in your care. Nothing is shared without your explicit consent.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes — encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We follow Australian Privacy Principles and are working towards ISO 27001 certification.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, at any time. Health records are retained for the legally required period (typically 7 years for adults) then permanently deleted.
Delivery
What does delivery look like?
Plain unbranded packaging delivered by Australia Post. No names, no logos. Free with every Fusenite plan.
Do you deliver to PO boxes?
Yes for non-cold-chain items. Cold-chain deliveries require a physical address with someone available to receive.
What about regional Australia?
Cold-chain delivery reaches every postcode Australia Post Express covers. Standard delivery reaches everywhere.
How often will I receive my treatment?
Typically every 3 months for hair plans and every month for weight plans. Hormone plans depend on the regimen — your doctor will explain.
Doctors
Are Fusenite doctors really independent?
Yes. Doctors receive no commission, quotas, or incentives tied to prescribing. Their job is to recommend what's right for you — including telling you when treatment isn't appropriate.
How do I know my doctor is qualified?
Every Fusenite clinician is AHPRA-registered and verified annually. Once a doctor is on the public roster, their AHPRA registration number is displayed on the /doctors page.
Can I choose my doctor?
We assign the best available doctor for your programme. If you'd prefer to see someone else, message care@fusenite.com and we'll arrange it.
