HOW WE HELP

Evidence-based hormone therapy, plus the rest.

OPTION 1

Hormone therapy

Modern menopause hormone therapy is the most effective treatment for vasomotor symptoms and is supported by major Australian and international guidelines. Your doctor will discuss whether it's right for you, in detail, during your consultation.

OPTION 2

Non-hormonal options

For women who can't or prefer not to use hormone therapy, your doctor can discuss non-hormonal options that have evidence in this stage of life.

OPTION 3

Lifestyle and bone health

Resistance training, sleep, nutrition, alcohol, and bone-density screening are part of every Fusenite Hormone plan.

Fusenite cannot name the specific medications used in our hormone plans on this page, due to Australian Therapeutic Goods regulations. Your doctor will discuss the exact options with you, including how they work and side-effect profiles, during your consultation.

IS THIS RIGHT FOR ME?

Honest about who we can help.

Right for you if…

  • Women aged 35–65 with perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms
  • Women already on hormone therapy wanting better support
  • Women researching options before committing to a path
  • Post-menopausal women wanting long-term care

Not right for you if…

  • Undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding (please see an in-person GP first)
  • Personal history of certain hormone-sensitive cancers (your doctor will discuss other options)
  • Recent venous thromboembolism (your doctor will discuss safer alternatives)
  • Active liver disease

Final eligibility is determined by your Australian doctor during consultation. Many of the above can still be safely managed with the right plan — please book a discovery call if you're unsure.

FAQ

Hormone Health questions.

I've heard hormone therapy causes breast cancer. Is that true?

The evidence is more nuanced than the headlines. The Australasian Menopause Society and major international guidelines support modern hormone therapy as the most effective treatment for vasomotor symptoms in appropriately selected patients. Your doctor will discuss your individual risk profile in detail during your consultation.

How long can I stay on hormone therapy?

There's no fixed cut-off — duration is decided between you and your doctor based on your symptoms, your goals, and your risk profile. Many women stay on hormone therapy for years; some for life. The decision is reviewed regularly.

Can I get hormone therapy if I'm still having periods?

Yes — perimenopausal hormone therapy is well-established. The regimen differs from post-menopausal therapy and your doctor will tailor the approach.

Will I need blood tests?

Not always. Hormone therapy is typically guided by your symptoms, not your blood levels. Your doctor may order baseline pathology in some cases — most pathology is Medicare-rebated.

What if my GP disagrees with this approach?

We'll happily write to your regular GP with the rationale and share the plan, with your consent. Many GPs welcome the additional menopause-specific time and write back with their thoughts. The clinical decision is always between you and your doctor.

Why don't you discuss treatments by name on this page?

Due to Australian Therapeutic Goods regulations, we are unable to discuss specific treatment options on a public page. Your doctor will discuss the exact options with you, including how they work and side-effect profiles, during your consultation.

Do you support women who can't or don't want hormone therapy?

Yes. There are evidence-based non-hormonal options for many menopausal symptoms, plus lifestyle, exercise, and bone-health support. Your doctor will discuss what fits your situation.

Is this Medicare-rebated?

No — Fusenite consultations are private. Pathology your doctor orders may be Medicare-rebated separately at your local collection centre.

Are 45-minute consults really that different?

We think so. Menopause involves 30+ possible symptoms across mood, sleep, cognition, urogenital, joint, and skin domains. An 8-minute appointment can't cover that ground. 45 minutes lets your doctor actually listen, explain, and plan.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel from your Fusenite dashboard or by emailing care@fusenite.com.

Ready when you are.
